know i need a recone.. but sum 1 tell me what happened

my treo is messed up for real now. didnt have it in to long . when i opened the bnox my whole room smelled like coil. but i cant blame it all on the seller. well im leaving heb and i hear horrible distortion. my sub sounds like total ***. if i push on the cone for a little bit it will sound good for about 10-15mins. some one tell me what the hell happened

What do you mean it's not totally the seller's fault?

i mean that once i noticed a box full of compressed burned coil i should of sent it back. or watch my gains a little closer. this wouldnt happen the sub off of a 1605d if the sub was (perfect) like the seller said. it even came with free basket scratches and pther good stuff. but o well i will just send it in for a recone and learn my lesson

i'm still confused on if he sold you a faulty(maybe not blown) sub though. i think in a situation like this clarification is essential

the box said referb. he said it was new, and he said it included a shipping crate.

man, don't bitch out on this, honestly atleast make a neg rep thread and call him out and hear what he says. no way i'd just sit back and pay hundreds of $$ for a recone and ad prolly 50% to what you paid for the sub itself.
