so you would buy used battery's over new ones? just because of the shipping issue?
Honestly; What is he missing out on? If either of them don't last 1yr then they both get replaced for free. If either of them konk out after a year neither are getting replaced for free under warranty. As long as the used battery's weren't completely shit on while they were used then they shouldn't have any significant decrease in lifespan. So I fail to see how the "new vs used" thing is really a consideration. If the used didn't have any warranty then the story would be different......but they do, so it's not.

There are less issues overall with buying locally than there is over internet/with non-local sellers. For the minor difference of less than 4% in price, I would personally avoid those issues and just purchase locally. No shipping wait/potential damage during shipping, hands-on assistance and troubleshooting, face-to-face conversation and communication, etc etc.

i dont think we're telling you anything, just helping you weigh out the positives and negatives...you have to decide whats best for you, if you dont mind waiting and trust shipping and $30 is a big deal to you, go with rawdog, if not buy the locals...

on a side note, 3 2400's might be overkill for your setup...but what do i know...

no doubt it is overkill for my setup, but im running a stock alternator right now because im getting a new car soon and dont want to waste money on an alternator when id have to turn around and sell it in a few months anyways. and there is no doubt in my mind that you know more then me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also, i didnt mean to say you guys were telling me what to do, just came out like that.

i understood what you meant...it's all good...

i think you should have gone with the alt first and maybe 2 1800's or 1 2400 at first, it would probably have cost you less that what you are spending on 3 240's

im going to wait on the alternator till i get the new car. id be losing money on an alt if i got one for this car and got rid of it in a few months. i figured 3 2400's would do the trick and help out my alternator. also, if i eventually get anything bigger or decide to get an suv and do something stupid ill just throw the 2400's in there too. lol. and i like to blow all my money.
