Kimbo Slice fight tonight

Shit was lame as hell. Nobody had any ground game, fights stopped early, etc... Kimbo wasn't impressive at all. He has no ground game/submissions and gasses in the 1st round. He's only in there because he's marketable as it's ALL about $$$.

Ultimate Fighter is a breeeding ground for the UFC as most of their big name fighters are getting old, so they need to try and develop future stars to keep it alive.

I've been watching since UFC #1 and it was borderline barbaric back then. They needed rules, not only for the safety of the fighters, but to have a chance to make it mainstream. Personally I think a lot of people would rather, I could give a shit less if it is mainstream or not but obviously going mainstream is what pays the bills. Would you take one of those overhand rights to try and ground and pound him? better yet, would you be able to hold him there if you did? Dude tried though. Kimbo's endurance isa really his only weakness. I did see the one fight he supposedly lost, but in that fight he just looked tired. His opponent was big and i thought he would at least get him down a few times.

I miss Royce Gracie though. He was my fave back in the day.

i agree, the cbs thing was pretty crappy. It was way too commercialized in my opinion, seemed more like wwe wrestling than mma. The ONLY half decent match was the Lawler vs. Smith fight. I was bummed when it was stopped, stupid ringside doctors. I agree that kimbo sucks too, the big dude wouldve won if the fight wasnt stopped. The early stoppages were pretty bad as well, bad reffing. All in all, i found the whole thing to be pretty shitty..........now back to watchint UFC

Well, after watching the Kimbo fight my opinion about the guy hasn't changed. He'll never be a good MMA fighter. If he doesn't KO you in the first round, he seems pretty easy to beat.

The only thing worthwhile in that whole ****ed fight was seeing his opponents ear almost fall off.

OK I just got home, first off I agree, a couple fights were stopped early...I blame CBS. Secondly Although Kimbo won his fight ( And I'm glad he did ) He did get tired extremely fast. He needs to work on his cardio. I got to say though he has been working on his ground game and it shows.
