Kimbo Slice fight tonight

Hell the UFC minor leagues are better than this the WEC, I wanted this to be a good card but it was not, Gina Carano did not make weight , title bout stopped early this Kimbo fight stopped early, man I love MMA but this upsets me bad.

UFC is slowly becoming what you saw tonight. It's becoming more and more like professional wrestling

I remember watching ufc when ken shamrock was in his early 20s. I saw him break a dudes ankle and they didnt stop the fight, they waited til he tap'd... much much better than the crap we saw tonight.

Stop a match for getting poked in the eye... c'mon now

I think you mean MMA not UFC. And I disagree. this is the worst event I've ever seen in my life, but tomorrow's WEC event on Versus should make up for this BS

Simply not true the UFC wants to get away from those early days when stuff like that happened, in order for the sport to grow there needs to be rules and this way you can get sanctioned. Plus Ken Shamrock is the most overhyped fighter of all time he could not even beat Tito Otiz who is also way past his prime and was never that good.

I've noticed that too but it seems like a few of the refs will still let things go for a good while before they stop it.

I think with all honesty that GSP or Anderson silva UFC'S 170 and 185 lbs champions would tool Kimbo and I know he is bigger but he has nothing other than haymakers. His gas tank is horrible too.

I remember Gracie fighting someone and even though the guy tapped out and the ref tried stopping it Royce Gracie still broke the dudes arm. That's just ****ed up.

Agreed, I think those two along with Penn are pretty much unstoppable right now.

Bottom Line:

1. Kimbo sucks *** at MMA, he is only good at boxing

2. James took 50 of the hits that knock people out with just one.

3. Kimbo had absolutely no ground game.

4. James should have put more pressure on Kimbo's lower torso to keep his hips on the ground. That's how Kimbo kept getting out, he could thrust with his hips.

5. James is terrible at boxing.

6. Kimbo runs in and swings for the fences every fight he has. I laughed my *** off when it didn't work, and he didn't try it anymore after the first time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

7. The ref made a TERRIBLE CALL. Every single time the fighters were reset, it was the same cycle. Kimbo would punch him EXTREMELY hard a billion times until James got frustrated and took him to the ground. Both fighters were very tired, and James fell into the cage, so the ref just assumed he couldn't defend himself, even though he slapped the ref and was still punching before it was called.

Now how could James "not defend himself" when he was still throwing punches (admittedly, he missed every one lol) and slapped the ref.

Bottom line is: It was a cyclical pattern and Kimbo would have been taken to the ground again and finally beaten.

Right, you probably didnt even watch him when he was in his prime. I agree he is way past his prime. No wonder Otiz beat him hes 15 years younger isnt he?

UFC is slowly becoming what you saw tonight. Deal with it. Prime example of this is that stupid tapout show and the 15 other ones you see on FSN MTV VH1 and whatever else is carrying them today.

Its the same cycle wrestling went through ~10 years ago.
