Kicker subwoofers

If you're impressed with that type R, that's great for you. You aren't afflicted with the same disease as the rest of us //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
That being said, I mid or high end model from "soundqubed, skar, DD, Sundown etc." on decent power in the right enclosure will blow you away.

It's all how much you want to spend. Food for thought.

Im not entering SPL contests or trying to wake the neighborhood. My CompR gets plenty loud and goes low. I spent about $400 for the sub, box and amplifier. Thats roughly $134 for each..........Not a lot of money at all.

If you are not looking to be blown away, a cheap 60 dollar kenwood sub, an amp and enclosure will sound basically the same as a kicker comp at half the price
There is no way it would sound as good. It not a Kicker Comp either.......

Actually sounds better, all the neighbors run stuff like that and the kenwood w3013ps is a much better sounding sub then a kicker comp. Gets just as loud too. both were in sealed boxes of appropriate size ran on kicker amps. Kenwood had more bandwidth, hits lower, and clean up top.

Man I wish I was tone deaf. I wouldn't be broke
Not so much man the bass you feel not hear. Ever seen the video of the deaf guy getting a demo by steve? That was cool but your right lol. Chances are wed be stuck in another hobby though

I totally disagree. My brother inlaw had a Kenwood 12 sealed and amp. My CompR sounds much cleaner, not nearly as boomy and has more punch. The Kenwood went low, but wasnt nearly as powerful sounding.

You know there's more to sounding good/getting loud than just buying a sub and amp right?..

Ok, what was the point of this thread? Defend kicker??
Actually yeah kind of. I think they sound pretty good and perform well. Dont get all the hate. But, as was stated earlier. If Im happy, thats all that matters.

Have a good one.
