Hey everyone! I figured I'd post this for anyone else who may have the same problem, since I've never seen this before.
The other day one of my subs (a 10" Kicker CVR) started rattling like crazy. Honestly, it sounded busted. Everyone who heard it said I either blew it out, or I burned a voice coil.
I know how I play my subs, so I knew there was no way I blew it out - I have them running pretty low on power.
Today I took it out of the box, took a peek at it while I played some music, and literally started laughing. There was a tiny piece of glue that had come loose on the back of the cone, and it was slapping against it whenever the sub moved.
I have no idea how a tiny piece of glue made such a loud noise, but at least I don't need to buy a new sub! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
So to everyone having rattling coming from their sub, specifically a Kicker, check the glue on the back of the cone!!
