hi, i am new here and haven't posted alot. i just bought a 2000 GMC Sierra extended cab truck and i want to update the sound but keep it stock looking for stealth/security reasons. i was thinking of using Kicker's SS65.2's in the doors with the tweeters mounted to the phase plug of the mid. how do you think this would sound? i have a clarion DXZ955MC to install for the head unit for now, plus i have a Kicker Kq5 eq and a few old school Kicker amps to install later. (zx460,zr360 and xs100)

i wanted to use some type of under rear seat enclosure for the subs, not sure yet mulling over the idea of maybe a couple of L7 8's or something like that. maybe someone could give me a few idea's. i listen to just about anything and everything but i like it clean and every once in a while i like it pretty loud too.

i would like to keep some room for storage as i have kids as well. thanks everyone in advance for any help. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well it looks like the system is gonna have to wait a little i just got into a accident yesterday and my truck is off to the body shop for repairs, it was not drivable.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif the car i hit is most likely done. small toyota car was just folded in. luckily no one was seriously hurt.

back to the topic at hand, is there any other higher end drivers (brands) that will fit my truck that can be mounted coaxial? i live in Canada so not sure what all is available compared to other parts of the globe.

thanks joe

You have power windows right?? I used the SS56.2 and the MB6's in my door of my truck at one time. If you have a good size 4 channel they sound pretty good.

kicker

I still have them by the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Look into a set of CDT Braxials ( http://www.cdtaudio.com). For the subs, I would go with Ascendant Audio Assassin 8s. They can be put in small enclosures, get loud for 8s, and Ascendandt Audio is makes great SQL subs. ( http://www.ascendantaudio.com). Unfortunately, AA is in the process of redesigning the lineup, so it might be a while before you can order them. Of Course, you said it will be a whi9le before you can do anything anyway, so it might not matter.

wow looks great! uh negative on the power windows, just have the door panel with the single driver location. nothing in the dash either. if i used the zx460 bridged it's about 220 watts rms per side. do you think this is too much?

thanks joe

Well that setup doesn't come with a 3-way crossover so either you will have to run them on separate channels or either build a crossover for them.
