Kicker KX1200 protection mode issues

Where/how is the gain set on the amp?
Inadequate power/ground wire for the amp...not the recommended gauge.

How is your ground? bare metal to bare metal?

NVX 4g Silver-tinned OFC. Dedicated ground to the alternator case. Gain is roughly 15%, 2.5-3v area.

Resolved it huh?.. you posted the news in the other thread... bad coils huh?.. reconed and reamed

Figured it out - pushed on the cone while i was testing the impedance, went into the negative. Coil has a short. Whiever did the recone botched it.

I got super screwed. Thanks for the help guys
