So far I am impressed. I have a hold over Key 180.4. It’s more than enough for my mids and highs. I was just playing around with some different songs Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, Nu Breed, just some country I usually don’t listen to. Gotta say, it sounded awesome. The dsp brought out the kick drums while still allowing the low ends. The highs are there yet not overly bright. I did set the gains using their little lights and then used the DD1. Kicker definitely left a little on the table as far as gain. And I was using 0db 1000hz.

Those look pretty good...too bad they are rated at 2ohm

I am running into a weird issue. A turn off pop. It’s coming from the amp. Not thru my speakers.

Got ahold of Anthony Alfonso at Kicker. They want me to send it in for warranty. But that means I’m without an amp for who knows how long.

So just got the Key 500.1 complete setup with get this
Prefab Fox Box from Fox Acoustics for 2015 Toyota Tacoma for two 10’s in .5 cu.ft. sealed each sub
And the pièce de résistance, the two 10’s that I chose to test the enclosure are Rockville K5 W10K5S2. These subs are $47 a piece.
Holy sh!t. I did not know you could make a turd sound this good. These Key amps are extremely impressive.

My plans are to beat the piss out of these Rockvilles until they let loose. Then buy some nice subs that are low wattage. Been eyeing HiVi. But think it might be too deep for my enclosure. Can’t be more than 5” deep.

Ill have to say.. Kicker has always made some pretty decent amplifiers. The only ones I did not care for were the Impulse series. But they have always had some great amps/pretty reliable for sure
