let me applogize for my spelling now, I dont really pay attention to it that much, but I have heard the pioneer 4x10's and they are very simlar in quality to the kickers, I did not really like the sound, but I am very picky, but GM has been for the most part the only company that uses 4x10 speakers

Was just wondering because a student of mine ordered a pair and he is going to be putting them in the roof of his vehicle. Hopefully they will sound alright.

its ok my spelling sucks, but 4x10's are just such awakward shaped speakers makeing true sound production impossible

Oh I know, almost like some 6x9's. I hope these sound alright...if worst comes to worst he will just return them and pick up a nice component set like I told him to in the first place

Yeah, its a SUV...he has a really tight setup and wants to try and see if this would work alright for the back seat(he already has 2ways in the doors)...oh well...I'll let you know how it turns out.

sound doesn't eminate in a oval patern but it is circular and the only and oval speakers need bigger boxes because of the shape

but the sound waves would eventually be circular, so it wouldn't affect the sound. you can drop a car in a calm pool. the car may not be circle, but the rings that is made by the car is. heck, throw anything in the water. both waves are circular. the water wave and the sound wave.
