x2. If you have a ton of electrical upgrades, you may be able to do it.. but if this thing pulls up to 300 amps at 2 ohms, imagine the amperage it pulls at 1. Run it at 2 and be safe..

Several of you who posted must not have had direct experience with the amp. You guys are so wrong. If you even did a search, several people do run it at 1 ohm.

I have a ZX 2500.1 and ran it full gain at 1 ohm for testing on an RL-p today. It's taking it like cake and it is not a current hog. I ran it half gain at 2 ohms for 2 months and all I have is 1/0 and big 3 with an kinetik hc 1400 under the hood and a measly 90A stock alt and I got slight dimming. My Treo SSX 1500.1 put out less power and sucked more current. I don't recommend .5 ohms, even for burps, it won't like it. Not to dump or anything, I'm actually selling my ZX 2500.1 that has been used for only 2 months and I'm looking to upgrade, so PM me if youre interested.

300A is the fuse it comes with. I highly doubt it pulls 300 amps on 2 ohms. Check my post above....running on 90A stock alt and no problems. It is great with current.

You can run at 1 ohm no problem, you just can't be stupid about it.

ive had direct exp with that amp and did see one go into protect time and time again after a full song bumping at 1 ohm.

so if you with minor electrical upgrades were able to get it stable, my hat is off to you sir.

Hmmm, maybe I'm just lucky I guess. My dimming is minimal, it is slight..the Treo wasn't too bad as well, but it was a lil worse than the Kicker. When i had a soundstream xxx6500, well....lets talk about major dimming. Then again, I was **** loud with my speedometer and RPM gauges jumping up a few notches when the bass hit.

in my case i just needed an upgraded battery, the big 3, and 1/0 wiring throughout the vehicle. theres many other amps. orion 2500d, rf t2000, sundown 3000, and i cant think of anymore since i just woke up

look into a memphis 2500d theres 2 in the classifieds they run @1ohm and there sleek and nice put out rated power as well.
