Amp advice - 5, 4, or mono

Greetings

I am receiving a Sony DV2000 SACD head unit today. This puts out 52 watts X 4 with all chanels being independent. (Surround sound)

I also ordered 4 MBH Quart EKA116 6.5 coaxle speakers without a lot of research(none).

I am thinking of getting an amp and sub. Is there any one out there with suggestions on whether it would be worth it for me to go with a 5 chanel amp, 4 chanel (two for the front and two for the sub) or just amp the sub.

Thanks & Rgds

EJM

You not gonna get 52W x 4 out of the deck. Those are peak power ratings. RMS probably be in the ~25w range, personal that not enough for aftermarket speakers.

5 channel amp simplified the installation and might save a little space. Cons are there fewer choices. Most 5 ch amp is in the 50-75w x 4 + 300-500W for the sub channel. Only different amp I know with more power is the memphis bella, 1100W for the sub ch but it comes at a cost.

4 ch amp for speakers + 1 monoblock sub amp is alot more flexible. So it depend on your system needs.

Good luck!
