Towing capacity is NOT vehicle capacity. Towing capacity is the amount of weight the car could handle if it was towing a trailer on a hitch.

Cars dont have payload but if they did that would be what matters. Towing capacity dont take into account suspension because the trailor supports its own weight. That car is exceeding its payload dangerously because I highly doubt it's payload exceed's my truck's leaf spring/torsion suspension which has a maximum if 1600lbs.

Definitely try the recone yourself. No way in hell I would make a 5 hour trip just for a recone. The only REMOTELY hard part when reconing would be dropping in the VC, but that's what shims are for. Everything else is just gluing or soldering if you have to.

I need to talk to you about that. Doesn't sound right to me.

Actually sounds like AIM parts. AIM = breaking real soon and sucky.
