Keeping your amps cool

So with that in mind would taking the bottom off and creating a new cover or something and have the fans blowing up help any? I'd assume the venting would go out the holes on the side and the holes in the bottom..?

my amps used to get deadly hot. sear your skin when you touch it, Thats why I put a fan on the rear deck. to pull the cold ac air in and another to push the air accross the amps. Worked out very well. AZ summer heat is no joke. My amps are already at thermal failure just from sitting in the driveway. I usually get the ac going before i turn in the radio. then once the aire is cooled off, I turn the radio on and that activates the fans. trunk is from 120+ down to 90 / 80 in 5 minutes. Sometimes. it was alot cooler when I added deadener too. the only down side is that you can seal the cab to gain moar dbs

My amps get hot enough u can not touch them just by sitting there.
I'm curious what size and what kind of fans did u use?
Wait..a couple posts ago you said they weren't that hot..

Well currently I have my box firing into the cabin and my amp in about a 6 inch gap between the box and rear of my trunk. So it has space just not ac. It's not over heating just always warm to the touch.
Warm to the touch doesn't require auxiliary cooling.
