Keeping your amps cool

I live in south fla and I'm sure if any of you have been here it's hot as ****.. And I have a black windows tinted though thank god. Bit my question is how have some of u kept your amps cool bcuz mine naturally are hot. I've heard of fans which is most likely what I'll do but any opinions on this?

I also can not get a general consensus on how to place them 2 in 2 out or 4 blowing in or 4 blowing out etc.. Has anyone had any experience with this?

first off, keep them in open air. not tucked under a seat or box or something. the heatsink can't work if it can't dissipate the heat. it's hot as balls here too, and i don't have any problems.

Well currently I have my box firing into the cabin and my amp in about a 6 inch gap between the box and rear of my trunk. So it has space just not ac. It's not over heating just always warm to the touch.

Ever since summer hit I have a problem with my amp going into protect mode. Anyone else notice this? I had no problems all winter with the volume super high. I turned off the bass boost and turned the gains down some and it is a bit better but still shuts down every now and then even at moderate volume.

this might sound stupid, but someone should let their amp sit all day in the heat(in the car of course) and then open it up and see if any of the internals are hot.
ofc. its gonna be hot...

most amps have temperature sensors and go into protect if they get too hot. if the amp isn't ridiculously hot and isn't going into protect I wouldn't really worry about it.

Some times it gets unbearable to touch. Which is why I was questioning if some ppl have ran small computer fans off the remote wire in their amp with any luck. No joke my car gets above 105 and I know their made to take it up to 140(?) fine but as less stress ad I can give it I'd be more comfortable ya know.
