with the current setup i was able to hit a 149.7 w the one 12 in my trunk. i was thinkin possibly running a second run of power wire from the front battery to the rear. and then rippin out the stock wire going from the alternator to the main battery and replacin it w some 0 gage. could a line driver help at all also??

If you're capable of doing a 149.7 out of a trunk, then I don't understand why you're asking such a basic question?

I would Upgrade the alt charge lead and ALL the grounds under the hood basically just add new wires in with the old wires....upgrade your alt, and toss them red tops......If you like optima then pick up some Group 31 Blue tops or Yellow tops...But I highly suggest kinetik 2400's. And yes that cap isnt doing you any good at all actually probably helping with the problem

also red tops arent the best choice in batteries, maybe ok for under the hood but thats it. I would atleast get yellow tops. There are alot of other brands also. You need some deep cycle or AGM batteries in the back.

They're better than the yellowtops for rapid discharges, which is important for SPL. But yeah, a deep cycle of some sort will benefit him more for daily.

oh and can anyone tell me why i was able to hit a 149.7 on music. . .then throw in a hertz disk and couldnt get it to break 146????. . box is tuned to 48 hz. . the sub is tuned very high. . in the 70s i beleive.

Where are your amps grounded at also?? you could try making a Negative run from the batt to where the amps are

it doesnt really matter tho since i will be competing in street beat since it goes by woofer/ woofers. . not watt range.

amps are grounded about a foot and a half away on a metal fin that comes into the trunk from the left wheel well.. .the seconb battery isnt that far away. . i just have the battery relay, cap, and 4 channel amp alredy grounded there. and 0 gage is a b****

itll matter when you cook your amps because of voltage dropping to low thats why they are clipping out
