well if it was a coil, setting the gain correct now isnt gunna help your problem.

yea, its a prefab box...I dont think its the box comming apart though because once I took the L7 that was in it out and replaced it with the L5, it sounded perfect for the first week or so. **** I hope its not the voice coil

Take it out of the box and play it free air. I bet its the coil
