Just wanted to update you guys on my stereo.

Ya well I ordered a dual 12" box and a set of Alpine Type R's a sony xplod deck and a crunch 1000watt 4 channel amp. I ordered it all of the internet at ebay and carstereotime.com but the amp came in the box came in real quick but the deck got held up on the credit card info and it is now on the way but today I received my subs like it was christmas just to open the first one with about a 4 inch hole in the middle like someone punched it and mailed it I was pissed I wanted it installed by next friday! And carstereotime.com told me now that alpine no longer makes the swr-1240D i said bull ****ing **** i know they do and they are offering me a refund so i am just going to have to wait a little longer but I swear if that site screws me i will be pissed i might have to order it of ebay too. Anyway thanks for all your help on this stuff i appreciate it and I will try to throw some you guys way.

Also anyone else with bad mail order stories?

Hey so you have a hole in your sub it can easily be fixed just go and get some touch up paint the professial stuff seals it good and tight never comes off good stuff.

Jeez, with so many Type R's on backorder at the Zeb and Multi Media Express- among several other dealers- and with Alpine still promoting them at CES this year- hmm- not making them any more huh?-- yeah, tell me another one.

At least they are offering a refund- they can still get you the sub though- if they have any customer relation skills that is.......

Only other place I have heard of people having mail order problems is at http://www.soundhabit.com.

i've heard that the alpines are no longer being made too. i went to car toys and they said type s and type are are discontinued, at least for now, which is pretty ****ing gay
