Just Upgraded My System, BUt Need A lil Bit Of Help....

i jus got a 10" alpine type r, its a dual voice coil and 4ohms. i also bought a 1200w 2ch Absolute amp. whats the best way to wire the amp and sub to get the best from my sub and so i wont blow it

Wire it as Wiring option 1......A 2 ohm load

when i bridge me amp, its only 4ohm stable and it says it gives off 1200w at 4ohms. so that means i would have to wire my sub as in diagram 2 right? but the amp can handle a 2ohm load, but thats only useing one of the channels adn it'll give a max 600w.

so would it be best to:

a) wire the sub to 8ohms and bridge the amp

or

b) wire the sub to 2ohms and use only one of the channels
