Just Put in a new HU, need compliments

So I haven't really gotten serious about the audio game until just recently, but so far I've got Pioneer speakers across the board and I just recently got the Pioner DEH-4800MP HU plus iPod Adapter so I can connect the iPod. Now, I've got a dinky little tube sub but I want more lows so I need an amp and sub combo that will really let people know that I'm coming. I have a 02 Cavalier however and I was thinking 10's would be a good fit. I'm sure 12's would work but who knows. Anyway, just need suggestions, and I'd like to keep it around 300-450.

Get a 12" type R and use a Kicker ZX750.1(last I checked $250 on woofersetc.com) Thats under $400 but you will need a box. If you don't think you can cut, screw, and glue wood together then buy a box probably around $50-150 depending on what you get. I would go ported and be careful with the amp Ive never seen a birthsheet less than 900WRMS @ 2 ohms and make sure its a dual 4 ohm voice coil so you can wire it right.

I would set the gains kinda low for daily driving and only go up to the full 900W for when you want to push this sub to the max. Ive heard of 1000W on them daily but I personally wouldn't put over 800 especially ported. I just don't like wasting good money(blown speakers) on inching out every last bit of sound from your speaker. Or go with dumples system but unless its 4ohmDVC then I would be careful with the gains on it aswell, 1600W @ 1 ohm I believe that amp is rated(more like 1300 though).
