Just need an opinion

I haven't been in car audio for about 10 years and have decided to get back into it. I am needing some advice i have a 2000 impala and plan on adding some sub/subs. Would you recommend going 2 12 ported or a single 12 in the max rec ported box. I will be using a 1500 amp.

Goal is to have a good mix of sq and spl budget about 1500 for the box and subs

thats a pretty nice budget .i can help you with any subs amps or even a box if needed .American Bass - HD 12 D2 this would be a nice sub for you as well as this one DC Audio - Level 4 send me a pm and i can get you prices on both .

you can run 2 good 600w 15's in a custom enclosure with 1500.if you need to, get some AAA road hazard ins and clean out the spare tire well .

you never said at what impedance, but if my goals were for SQL, I would look no further than the Diamond D6 on that 1500 watts.

The amps is rated 1000 at 4 ohm and 1500 at 2 and 1. ill take a look into those as well thanks everyone for the assistance

your amp does closer to 1800 rms ,look at the birth sheet

I'd go with IA Flatlynes, 2 12's in a nice ported box!

sounds like a bdcp....check out the difference in efficiency at 2ohms vs 1ohm, and keep it in mind if that is the case.
