Alrights guys i don't really need any help or anything i just want some feedback i have 2 audiobahn 12's 500 rms 4 dual ohm voice coil powered by a rockfard fosgate 600 watt 2 channel amp with a 2 12 box with 4 ports 1 on each side and a sony cdx-ca810x Hu Just let me know what you think

ookay... so you have 2 abahns supposedly 500w each with a rockford fosgate 600w stereo amp with a bandpass box? I think it will sound very bad. First, you are tryin to run 2 500w subs with 1 600w amp... and 2nd you have a prefabbed bandpass box. usually = no good

edit: just my 2 cents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and plus i will upgrade eventually but right now this is all the cash i have for right now i had to fix everything on the car first which took bout $400 or so so yeah im lucky i got this

yeah well i have to stick with what i got because i don't have any extra cash at all right now so even though it might not sound the best it will be a system and it will still thump cause my friend did this to his and it doesnt sound that bad so oh well thx for the info though probly for christmas going to but another 600 watt amp

run one from each or just get a bigger amp but idk

More power isn't necessarily better. The biggest gain you'd get would be from a new box. I've seen some prefabricated bandpass boxes. That fashionable curved plexiglass cover ruins any hope of decent sound out of the subs because it flexes so bad.

I've calc-ed the grand total of all the materials necessary to build a box at $36. At least, that's what it is in my area of Michigan. It's still not exactly cheap, but it's a lot less than another amp.

this box is good the plexi glass does not flex at all i had one hooked up and in the box sounded great the box is good dont know the make of it my neighbor got it for me for an early christmas gift

The equipment doesn't matter, how it sounds does.

But I do agree with him. Audiobahn has some high hurdles to jump over before it would be worth the company's asking price. You can find better for less money. Consider that something to investigate while saving up for something new.

Quite honestly, the best thing to do would be to save up $$ to put towards new equipment rather than spend more money on your current setup.
