Just installed speaks 720prs not good!!

I just installed a pair of pioneer 720prs components in my 07 Explorer and they sound great...until i turn them up. The woofer is slapping on the door panel. I did not use any mdf spacers but i did you use the 6.5 converter kit which is very thin. I have no idea how to fix this. Spent all friggen day wirin these puppies in and now i have to deal with this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Any ideas?

So is it the speakers that doesn't sound good or your install?

The speaker sounds good but when I turn them up and the bass hits the woofer is slapping on the door panel.

Yeah but that wouldnt work in my app and it would actually make it worse because then the woofer would be slammed up against the panel. You must have alot of space between your door and the panel.

sounds like on ur door panel the stock cup is still installed. some thin plastic lining around the grill on the inside.

cut this off. (i use utility knife with fresh blade and some patience) or u can use an angle grinder to wear off the plastic.

then reinstall.
