Just got my 12" Type R installed and have a few Q's

If the bass is crazy with it on 0, you should reset the gains on the amp. Filtering the front speakers should also help but that would require more processing.

turn gain down, turn bass up to 0

turn gain back up to the appropriate level

Ok thanks. Do you think it would be best to just get an aftermarket headunit? As far as gains you mean on the back of the amp correct?
