Well, i just received an SDC2.5 15 from a kid this past weekend.. He had if for a week and smoked the coil, so i pulled all that out and am going to order a recone from audioque as soon as they get their next shipment of 15" recone supplies. I've already got a system in my truck, so i want to do something for my sister in law. She's got a 2004 Grand Prix GTP. She's always said she wants a little bump, so when i snagged this thing up i knew where it would be going.. I've got a couple of quesiton though:

1.) She wants to keep most of her truck, and i've figured that i can fit a box that's about 3.5-4 cubes facing forward into the cabin with the sub kind of pointing up at an angle to clear the rear deck. How well will this sub work in a 3.5-4 cube SEALED box?

2.) With a smaller sealed box like that, what kind of power should i run to it? I'm looking at the Rockford Prime 500.1 because it's pretty cheap for what you get and it's very efficient and makes more than rated power (i've installed one in another kids truck so that's where i'm gettin my info). But, if anyone knows of a good amp that's pretty cheap, let me know.. I'm open to ideas.

Ok. So another question then.. Would it be more beneficially to get a 12" basket and recone so i can used a smaller box, but have it ported? Or just save this sub for another install and get something else for cheaps?

Here ya go

I think reconing it into a 12" would be your best route, still have plenty of thump for her.

oh she wants it

Yes, she does //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So it isn't free, you need to recone it.

I got the sub itself for free, therefore i'd call it free. A recone is only $45 from audioque, so it's not like it'll be that big of a deal.

I'm really wanting to find a solid, cheap 8 and build a t-line box for it, but i can't seem to find anything under $90-100. Any ideas?

And sorry guys, but she's married and that's an odd picture for her to have.. she's not realy like that.. haha
