Just finished up my box

That's a sick box, looks like you put a lot of time into it gettin all the angles right and makin it fit over the wheel well. I was gonna do that on my first box, but decided to just do the traditional rectangle since all I had to cut the pieces was a circular saw. did you have a table saw?
Nope, cirucular saw, jig saw, sawszall to get the slots for the terminal cups, and a belt sander. It was fun to say the least. Calm and steady worked out well for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just looking at the box, i know there was a lot of time spent on just the design itself.
Probably 6 hours fideling with sketch up for my first time, and about 8 more building the box itself. It was well worth it to me though. I'm happy with the final product. The design was actually really easy, just doing the math after adding in the 3/4 mdf was a pain in the butt.

I remember when you posted the design a while back... posted positive notes on it... it actually tuned out great for a first box... you seem to have natural abilities unlike some things some people put out their first time arround... I was wood working for years before I started building boxes so my first box didnt count... it was a simple wedge shaped box for a chevy silvarado single cab housing two RF 12's. you did well... look forward to seeing your future creations.

Thanks, I don't really work with wood much, at all, so I am pretty happy with how this one turned out. I think next I might take a shot at fiberglass door panels for some new speakers, I'm thinking a set of 6.5" components.

That is not in my near future though, probably a month or two.

But seeing as my car has 300k miles on it, it could take a crap on me at any time. Therefore I may be making another box before I know it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
