Just finished up my box

Just finished my first box tonight.

Now onto the carpet and layer of black paint.

The angles of the top pieces and sides of the middle section were a pain in the *** to say the least. But it all turned out pretty nice, sanded it up and it's ready to get some carpet now. My amp will be going in the center section, two kicker comp 12" subs in the sides. I made it to fit over the left wheel well of a ford explorer, the notch on the side of the box is so that it has a cleaner fit into the side panel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

And yes, that is saw dust and shavings inside of the box, it will be vacuumed out shortly.

I got these for very cheap, so I'll stay with them for awhile unless they are absolutely too weak, then i'll upgrade to something bigger and better.

Yeah I got ***** and payed $10.75 for 'em, and I had to wait in line for 5 minutes to pay (one person in front of me). Thanks though, I was just reading one of your work logs, you have some great work, I would have gone to you if I had noticed you were a local box builder before this, but i'm content with my box now.

I am seriously leaning towards rhino liner right now, I really don't want to carpet the box, I have this gut feeling I'll make it sloppy. Any feedback or info I can get on that would be great. Thanks everyone.

That's a sick box, looks like you put a lot of time into it gettin all the angles right and makin it fit over the wheel well. I was gonna do that on my first box, but decided to just do the traditional rectangle since all I had to cut the pieces was a circular saw. did you have a table saw?

I have building boxes for years, and the other day my homeboy called me to come look at the box he built:laugh: , his first. I was impressed, he works construction, just never used his skills untill I made hie relize.
