Going along the top of the radiator?? That will work too just be careful of any metal the wire comes into contact with on the radiator. Or plastic for that matter. Wire loom will help with the heat so I would use some just as an added precaution.
Not the piece above the rad, the piece further back from it.

lol, what? You think that plastic tubing will take more heat than the insulation on that wire? doubtful...

 
O ok so nothin to involved just putting some ring terminals on and such?
Basically. It's just three large wires and the bulk of the work is finding the locations for their terminations. Sometimes it's difficult for people to find a good engine block or alternator chassis ground.

 
Im sure Ill be able to find em... since I am looking at a ranger they arent to cramped under the hood
If the alternator is easy to get to just use it's mounting bracket. Your grounding the engine block to ground the alternator's case, so if it's easily accessible just use that.
