Have you guys ever thought about using your persuasion for evil? For instance, if you were to say that amp "X" or sub "X" was awesome and had pics, I bet sales on that particular brand would increase 10X due to people on the forums going "well he is smart and says this is a good deal, I'm buying some". I bet you could email companies and say look, i'm on this forum and I have this many posts, come look at how people react to me. Give me very cheap, or free equipment, I will install it and tell everyone how great it is. If it doesn't work out you send it back *shrug*

Not sure where this came from, just thought about it and thought why not try to get someone some free gear.

How many of the smaller not as well known companies would mind giving out some demo's to people who have great reputations?

If one of the mods on here said check out this new "whatever" I would at least go look at it, and if the price was right, consider buying it more than I would have before. I respect those guys so I feel less worried about buying from a company that I have never heard of or worse, never heard the product.

I think your missing the point a bit. For instance you have 104 posts and I really have no idea if you know anything about car audio.

*shrug* like I said no real point to my post, was thinking out loud.

Edit: Also, I said more of not known companies. Obviously you can go down to any store and check out sony. When Fi came out, would you have just went out and spent 200-400 dollars on subs? I bet not. Would you think twice now? I bet you wouldn't. Why? Because they are acclaimed on here and the people who are "in-the-know" have said for the price they are the subs to get.

I'm saying before Fi got here, they could have went to them and said "give me some BTL's and I will help make them popular."
