Woof! Woof!
alright, im ready for my 1'st system log. i probably wont start buy s**t untill the summer, but i really want to spend time making sure that i know what im saving up for. i dont want buy anthing right at the moment, so please refrain from posting for sale items:nono: (i have no money right now).:crap:my ride is a 98 chevy s-10 with a regular cab. i want nothing but SQ with very little space to work with.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif money is not a huge issue with me but i aint rich. i'm willing to spend some cash but i dont want to waste it. i think i want to go with a 3 way active setup. i think i want a 5.25 to 7", tweet and a 10 or 12 inch sub.

this is what i was thinking about

first of, my HU is an alpine 9835

for the midbass is was thinking about thisi not sure what size would be best for me. all i know is i want strong loud midbass and really clean loud vocals. remember, im not that concerned with money here. i'll have time to save up money.

with the tweeter im just clueless. i have some aura tweets that i like right now. my first set of tweeters were from my infinity kappa set and they were just to harsh for me. i want a smooth warm sound that is bright but not too bright. i know! some where inbetween:D

for the sub is was thinking about the IDQ 12" with the sub i want alot of clean tight bass accurate bass with some loudness. i listen to all kinds of music from slipknot to three 6 and everything inbetween. since i have little space to work with, i think im going to go with a sealed box.

now the amp i think i want is the DLS reference 5 ch. i dont think i would spend more than $1200 on an amp, but that would be stretching it. i think the DLS would be a good choice and i could spend more money elsewhere.

overall, i want clean smooth sound from my system. it is just too small of an area to have super highs and really loud bass. i think i will own this truck for a couple more years so i dont mind putting alot of work into this truck.

let me know what you guys think!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Looks good. Was gonna say get a 10max ID sub, but seen you had a reg cab truck. The IDQ is a good clean sounding sub. You might want to ask BIKEJUNKIE about his DLS sub. I know he loves it and wouldnt have it any other way. So might be able to match that amp to the subs. Might want to check into some DLS for componets as well or some good cdt's. Good luck!

i dont want to go with a componet set because i want to use my 9835 to its fullest with its 3 way crossover so that i have more controll over my system. 3.5max6spd was saying that cdt uses the vifa mids for some of there componets, i dont know how valid that statement is. my guess would be that these vifa mids i was looking at are the same as the es mids. i havent done any research to find out, but im not stuck on the mids right now either. i thought about the ribbons, but im not sure which ones to go with.
