Job interview at best buy tomorrow!

hey guys i just came from my interview. i think it went pretty well. the interviewers KNOW i know my stuff. they also know i know my computers well and asked if i'd be interested in becoming part of the geek squad i said hell no i just want the car audio install position. HAHA.. the only part that went pretty bad was when they asked what i had heard about BEST BUY... i told them the truth and said "well i haven't heard much about best buy.. i see advertisements a lot but honestly, its just another store to me." haha i didnt want to lie out my *** and say "i've heard great things about best buy; best buy is the best" because i didn't want to seem fake about anything at all.. oh yea, and when they asked for references i kinda froze up a bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif but i gave them a friend's name... i just couldnt think of a past employer that could say good things about me.. although i could think of some, i dont have their phone numbers to this day.. other than that, i think it went pretty well. they said theyd let me know about having the third interview.. (today i did the first and second interview at once).. oh and it was a BEST BUY job fair for a new best buy theyre opening out here.. so i think that increases my chances of getting this job.. wish me luck !!!

I'm pretty sure best buy wants you to be mecp before you come in. As far as starting wages, last I heard it was 9-12 because they don't have a bonus program... don't worry about taking cars apart, I can't remember the last time I had to look up how to.

As for as knowing remote starts/alarms, not a clue if they will look down at that. I know at CC they don't, because it's "train as you go"... funny I'm the one training installers and I'm only 20.

Also be ready for corporate hell, it's alot different than you would think. It's not just working on cars, it's hitting your numbers, and if not having to answer to management that knows nothing about your department.

X3 on the tools. At my shop tools were provided. But I end up bringing my crafstman tool cart up there alot. Im in the process of switching over to SNAP-ON tools but then again, money is an issue. As far as the thread starter, I would definatly look into learning about Remote Starts, Keyless, and Security systmes, THat will help you out alot in the long run.
