So, you basically spent $110 on a bazooka tube, just for the tube?

When you could have spent less than $40 to build a proper box?

And now youre gonna put a w7 in the tube?

If you have money for a w7 and a 500/1, chances are you have money to either build your own box, or get one made.......Why do you want to use that **** tube?

Dude the TUBE not TUB. The tube is made specifically for the specs of the speaker they put inside it.

you cant just swap out the speakers and expect magic take the new W7 you just bought and get a proper box made for it.

This is not a joke. Come on guys will it sound that bad? Its just that the tube is so light and it can fit behind the third row on the SUV. When I need the room i just fold down the seats put them up and remove the TUBE. Am I really that crazy? Thanks.

Honestly, its a very bad idea. Those tubes are ported enclosures, designed with completely different subwoofers in mind. Forget you are putting a sub in it capable of grossly more pressure, the new speaker's theil/small specs are totally differnt, thus the enclosure wont even have the same tuning. Will it be higher? Lower? You can only guess. Not to mention the tube is designed with a driver capable of much less displacement, your new sub will be choking in that thing. Not trying to be mean, just trying to explain that you dont simply swap out completely different drivers in a ported box and expect good results. Especially a so completely specialized enclosure like a bazooka tube. It will make bass, and it may sound good to you, but it could/would sound much better in a box designed for it. Seems crazy to spend so much money on a nice subwoofer, then choke the performance right out of it with the cheapest and arguably most crucial aspect of the system, the enclosure.
