I was contemplating the SX but from what ive been reading they're geared more toward SPL....i'd like something that gets LOUD but also has pretty good sound quality....i need it to be dual 4 ohm so i can run my orion 2500d to 2 of em at 1 ohm.....also id like something rated like an SX wattage wise (rated at 1000w RMS but known to handle a bit more)...any suggestions would be great

Adire Brahmas if you play it safe with gains. In all honesty I hear a lot of good about the SX in just about every aspect. Efficiency, SQ, SPL, underrating, enclosure options, etc. Not to mention SQ and accuracy are severely dependent on the install.

All in all, I don't think if you bought a pair of SX 15s you'd play them once and think "Gee, I wish I had just a little more SQ."

I agree. My 2000SPL's are geared 100% towards SPL, and I have them in an SPL box... but I dont find my self thinking "gee, I wish I had just a little more SQ"

the 15" RL-p. good sq that can also get loud. after listening to a 12" version...it prompted me to buy the 15" version just for a little bit more spl... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it was $283 shipped to my door.

Yeah your best bet will probably be the RL-p if you are really concerned with sq. The SX seems like it may get a little louder, but what you are asking about can all be henged on your install as well. What do you have to work with concering space?

i think an SX is what you want

it has pretty good sq compared to my XXX, not as good but it deff. dosent sound bad, my SX was in a 2.5 cu ft box tuned to 35hz, and the XXX is in a 4.5 cu ft tuned to 32hz.

they hit really hard my 12 was crazy loud i wish i still had it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ooh wait its sitting right here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif buts its sold sorry
