tk5075: "TL" stand for Term Lab. it is pretty much the only acceptable mic to use for accurate measurements. having a "legal" scores means, having the car all sealed up (ie, windows up, doors closed), having the termlab on the windshield and then burping and getting a score.
people are notnecessarily, not believing your friend didnt hit a 160 or whatever, they are just saying it is not a legal score on a termlab mic. that score was either 1) made up or 2) done on a audio control mic which are known to be HUGELY in accurate and in some other fashion that what is normally considered a "legal" score. 150's are difficult enough to reach for a good portion of people with even better equipment. so you can imagine why people are doubting a 162 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
