Jl w7.. Whats Comparable?

Im about to close the deal on a JL w7 12inch. Im running my Alpine amp which is an MPR 450. I was going to ask are there any subs which are comparable to JL's w7? thats within the 300 range? 10 or 12inchs I also need to get a box to. Let me know people. thanks again

I've heard a few W7's. Nice sub, but not for the price. I liked the sound of the W6v2 better.

Also, your amp only does 400 @ 2ohms. Which would be alittle more at 3ohms (W7) not enough power.

I also don't think your amp is fit for the w7. You'd be better off w/ the w6v2.

I have the 10w7 in the HO box and its plenty loud. The 12 needs 1000 watts.

Realm Audio. Just as good if not better (that's subjective) than a W6 or Mag. They would sound nice with your amp and a small ported box.

A rockfor T2 is compareable to the W7 but the JL's are so nice its hard to even get close,

My friend has 2 rockford T2's 15" and he has the 4th loundest system im mobile,Al he hit like 160 Db's i think or somewhere close to that,

12" mag > w7 I have a 13.5w7 now and my 12" mag was louder. I had the w7 on a DD m1a, but now i got a 1000/1 in the mail, so I guess ill tell you what I really think once I get ample power on it.
