Hey everyone i just got 2 10" JL W6V2's should i use only JL amps for them or do u think that i can use a diff. company and not pay as much? Will it mess up my sound? Im sayin an 1800watt Rockford Fosgate Powerstage amp, is that worth doing instead of a JL its a lil more than half the price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

all i know is that they are JL W6V2 10 inch subs ummm i believe that the 10s only come as one, not more than 1 model? see i have no idea what im doin, my old system i have in my car now, is a 12" L7 solo with a pos crunch amp, im tryin to get really amazing sound outta these 2 subs.

So pretty much my question here is what exactly would be my best bet for sound outta those 2 subs?
That depends on 1) Your budget, and 2) the voice coil configuration (which, FYI, is dual 4ohm coils).

So, you'll want to look for an amp that does the power you need into either a 1ohm or 4ohm load. Which amps those are depends on how much you are lookin' to spend. The RF Power amps are excellent amps, BTW.

ummm my spending limit is pretty much the cheaper the better haha, im lookin for cheap but good u know? hows the rockford fosgate 1800w amp? i was told it should be good but i d k anythin bout rockford.

Fosgate does not make a 1800 watt amp. What is the model number? Are you reading max rating? If you are please stop.

yes it is the max wattage i just know its called the Rockford Fosgate 1800watt power stage amp or something like that
Dont read the max rating on any equipment ever. It's a useless number placed there to get newer people to think WOW.

If you could list the model number I can tell you the actual power rating.

Not always but a Audiophile plays around with different equipment brands. Not evey brand has to be the same, read what some of the other people said about the brands, make sure you find out the the specs of those subs an match them to whatever amp you want to use so for exampe if the sub is a 500 watt sub into a 4 ohm load find a amp that equals that.Any brand that has a good reputation would work fine.
