Your posts are always right on.Most people like the sound of the W6v2 better than the W7. From a measured response standpoint, the W7 is the superior driver. Significantly less distortion. That lower distortion is what most people don't like about it.
But unauthorized and from a guy with seven bad feebacks out of 99, with his last two feedbacks being pretty bad on his part...no thanks.

Don't drive them past their limits, pretty simple. Any sub is going to fail eventually if you drive it hard a lot. I myself don't use but maybe 1" worth of excursion on my sub 99% of the time, and I've never blown/ruined anything...ever.JL's sound good but man I tell ya their build quality ***** on their subs. I have had quite a few and all of them come apart at some point specially driven hard.
If they were crappily built, you'd be hearding a lot more stories such as yours. You either:So your telling me that the 13W7 I had running off a 1000/1 should not have fallen apart after 6 months. The spider broke loose from the frame! But yet it did. I had 3 10" W3's running off a PPI amp back in the day and all 3 dust covers came off and the paper surrounds all fell off. They are built like crap. I have had my DD9515 running 2400 daily for 2yrs. And have never once had a problem. Maybe I just had bad luck with JL but still I think they sound good but built like ****.
