JL audio w3v3 help

hi i bought a pair of w3v3 10's. on the cone it says JL, isn't it suppose to say w3? could they be fake? please help!

no, w3 stands for the model. JL is the brand, therefore they put their name on their own sub. Its real, not a fake,

oh i know what it stands for. but i've seen w3v3's that say w3 on the cone, not jl. but mine says jl. weird.

Companies often change looks of their subs over time.

depends which model you have man. their newest model has a small emblem at the bottom that says the model number. in your case it would say w3. but their prior versions had their logo(name) on the front. i guess it just depends on what year version you have.

post some pics and we can let you know.

or wait.. you said v3. the v3's should say w3 at the bottom. so could be a fake, unless ur misinformed about the version you were sold. either way post a pic of the front and of the back and we can let you know

oops i forgot to take a pic of the magnet. but on the magnet it says 10 w3v3-4 i mean it doesnt look fake or sound fake at all. it has the serial and all that on the magnet. i'll drop by my friends audio shop in the morning and talk to him.

if you go to jlaudio.com, when you hit the first page you'll get a couple of links/pics. on the far right there'll be a link to their home page. and if you look closely, you'll notice the sub in the picture only has "jl". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif relieved kind of but will know for sure in the morning.
