My friend has a 2008 Chevy Avalanche with 2 Kicker Cvt10's in a prefab flea market box that broke. He wanted to know if I could fix it. I told him I'd probably just have to build a new one because the box is broke and leaking air in about 7 different places. He has a JL 500/1 on the subs which doesn't feel like it's pushing the subs good enough, and a JL 300/4 for the highs and mids. Kicker recommends at least .8cu ft per sub. This box only has .55cu ft per sub. The biggest it can get is .72cu ft per sub if I build it. He rides with back seat up because he has a baby car seat that he uses a lot. I told him I probably could make an under the seat ported box for just one of his 10's, and it would probably be louder than 2 sealed? My main question is if I build him a 2.5 cu ft ported box behind the seat for both subs, will the bass come through the seat?

This is the mess I'm dealing with. Any Avalanche owners had any ideas which box is best?
