JL makes great products. But I feel they cost about 5x more than they should. There is no best, some people shop at wal-mart and think that dual sounds the best, so it just proves that the human race will probably be overrun with idiots and the world will end.

I agree with the few that says it is a great product. The thread didn't ask if it was cheap or such, it is a great company. There subs and amps are VERY good. Some love Zapco but the don't have speakers or DD's but they don't have amps. I thing JL is great. Just because you disagree doesn't mean you need to slam or make personal people.

first of all zapco does make speakers and subs.

second of all DD does make amps including smaller 4 channels.

AND third in order to have a great product you have to look at the value (price vs. quality)

the point I am trying make... you just don't know, obviously... so don't open your mouth if you don't know....

- you think you know, but you don't... when you read this garbageman, remember, that bright idea you had of what to say however witty it was, don't say it...

SQ is very debateable because everyone's ear is different AND its pretty SAFE to say caraudio.com is not a SQ base more of a SPL base. . . on this forum if its not LOUD its crap for 90% of the people here which is INCORRECT!!!!

The JL W6 is competetive against DLS and Aura's sub lines in quality but no one every cares to see that on this narrow minded forum, they compare JL and DD. What kind of bull shit is that? Its like comparing a Strip Racing Car against a Mercedes S500, you know the Racing car is faster but does that makes is better in everything? NO, different applications!!!

And about people calling people n00bs saying JL being crap? Might not be the best but they are far from CRAP. Please be in the know before you shout out and open your mouth.

My sentiments exactly. I hate JL. But not for its quality, but for the punks that brag it to be the best just becuase its the most expensive and LOWEST value.

Agreed. Ive heard quite a few JL setups that i really liked but I base my consumer decisions on a lot more than that. I have heard setups from many other brands that was equally or more impressive for less. As with EVERYTHING in caraudio, install........install.........let me say it one more time.....install. My feeling is that the biggest turn off that JL has against it is it fanbase and sales repersentives. A close second is the price. JL's fanbase is like the fratboy of car audio decked out in his Abercrombie, rocking out to his Ipod, while cugging a beer and kicking a hackysack. People hail JL as the end all be all, and most of the folks that say this sort of thing know about as much about audio equipment as i do about quantum mechanics. JL makes amazing products, but everytime someone hails them as the audio equivilant of oxygen i have issue. Their sales reps are slimballs that i would no sooner hand my money to than i would hand my pecker to a lunatic with sissors. The real shame is that the price and the people who locally represent the company will keep a lot of people from enjoying the fine quality products they produce. Until either of these changes, i think my alpines do me justice, and i would be will to take the pepsi challenge with any JL product in similar applications.
