My JL JX Audio 500/1 recently went out on me. It is paired with a Single 12 inch JL Audio 12w3v3 (2 ohms). Should I replace with the same amp or go with an Alpine Amp for better performance? If a 1 channel Alpine Amp can give me better performance out of my sub which one should I purchase? Thanks...

I'm getting a rumbling sound on my subwoofer everytime I skip tracks on CD or Ipod. I checked the rca cables and they all seem good. Added a little noise filter device and it got rid of the problem however it lowered the output on my sub, so I took that out. I had a technician that tried to run an external set of RCA cables and Bypass the Bass knob I use but to no avail. The rumbling sound still occured. Good chance It might the Amp.

Did you have the same audio source when the external set of RCA cables was connected?
