JL Audio FTMFW!!!!

Had a 1000/1 go bad on me. I had it installed by an authorized dealer so I got a 2 year warranty instead of 90 day.

I took it to Tweeter and they took care of shipping it and all that for me.

After 3 weeks I get my amp back. Turns out it couldn't be fixed so instead of sending me a B-stock they sent me a BRAND NEW unit!

I asked the guys at Tweeter about getting a start-over 2 year warranty if I get it installed authorized SINCE I got a brand new amp. He didn't know. I called up JL myself and after confusing the crap out of the CS lady, she had to get her manager. Turns out, I DO get a 2 year warranty on this brand new replacement amp if it's installed by an authorized dealer. Since I'm starting with a brand-new unit, she said it is their policy that my warranty start over as well.

That is without a doubt the best warranty service I've ever heard of in my life. I get another 2 years warranty on an item that replaced a warrantied item! It cost me nothing to get this warranty taken care of and am beyond satisfied with their service. I just wanted everyone to know that even though they're products are expensive if you buy legit, the warranty is unmatched.

JL's Warranty Policy:

Warranty coverage is extended if the product is installed by an Authorized JL Audio Dealer OR the system design and installation integrity are evaluated and approved by an Authorized JL Audio Dealer (in writing on the original sales receipt).

The available warranty coverage extension varies by product category, as follows:

Subwoofer Drivers: One (1) Year

Evolution™ Speaker Systems: One (1) Year

Enclosed Subwoofer Systems (incl. Stealthbox™): Two (2) Years

Electronics: Two (2) Years

JL is a great company and makes great products. Most people don't have or want to pay the money for the product, it's as simple as that.

I'm just commenting on how great the warranty service is.

I don't know of a single other company (car audio or not) that would warranty a warrantied item.

I shouldn't have posted that initial sentence so I retracted it...didn't want to get this topic off course. Just wanted people to know about this warranty service.

bottom line JL makes good stuff...the people that bash probably havent used it. Sure some of the woofers are less than to be desired. but they also make one of the best sounding subs out there right now W6v2

I've returned plenty of electronics and everytime I get a replacement, it is under the old warranty and I no longer have a warranty for that item.
