These played perfectly to their full ability, nice and punchy when powered by an Alpine MRP-F300 50Watt RMSx4 amplifier (also for sale here), plenty loud for my tastes, almost to the point of being painful when I pushed them, which was a rare occurance (I'm a musician and I value my hearing ). The only reason I'm giving these a lower score on the cosmetic / functionality grade is that the mounting screw seems to have pulled over some of the surround a little bit - I honestly did not notice anything wrong until I was selling the car and had to pull these out. Very solid entry-level speaker set. Standard sized so will fit most cars out there - it fit my 1999 Altima with no modification (except drilling new holes) and NOTHING fit that thing! No crossover to worry about - its all on board. Just a nice solid upgrade from stock speakers. They are very tolerant of lower power too - ran them off my 15RMS head-unit for half their life and the sound quality was night and day compared to stock - and of course they REALLY took off once I fed them some power.
