JL audio 500.1 amp problem

I have a 500.1 amp from JL.. The other day I pulled out the sub and the pos and neg speaker wire commin from the amp to the sub touched.. and i believe it stayed like that for a while. When I decided to put the sub back in.. I noticed the wire was burnt slightly and stuck to the other wire. both + and - were stuck together like the plastic had melted. The sub wont bump but I dont believe the sub is the problem I think It was when the wires touched.. No lights are on for the amp except the power one. And Idea what the problem could be and how I can fix it?

so the power light does come on? not the overload or protect light? whatever is on it. i dont feel like looking at my 1000/1 right now

correct, Just the power light. all the other lights are off.
