I had 2 of them in my truck at one time. i used a JL 250/1 to power them. they are a good SQ sub, but that is about it IMO. Mine where in a sealed box also.

I had 6 in my truck with 220watts per and it was easily the loudest system I have ever owned... granted they were in 14cu^ft !! Got loud and sounded great.

i don't think JLs lower lines are worth their price tag. I would look elsewhere if that is your budget.

how much space do you have to work with?

I like the Alpine Type R subs for thier price tag.

Less tha nthe 10w1v2 and hits MUCH harder!

Not alot of space or mounting depth to work with. I have a regular cab pickup. I have a custom sealed 10 truck box with 5 inches of mounting depth and .65 cubic feet for one ten behind my seat.
