JL 500/1 Repair?

I picked up a 500/1 amp from someone on craigslist and it powers own but it seems to have an issue with the output as its barely pushing the woofer. I got a quote from a JL dealer of $180 for JL to fix the amp but I was not looking to spend that much after already paying for the amp. I got it for a great price and the seller said he'd be willing to pay half of the repairs as he has no more need for his car audio equipment or I can get my money back. I want to keep it and wondered if anyone knows of anyone who can repair JL amps

despite JL being a quality company, a 500/1 is only worth so much, you know what I mean?

Yeah i know, i picked it up for only $120 though and im figuring another $60 spent would still be a decent deal if its fixed you know. The main thing I liked is the 500 watts at all ohm loads which provides great flexibility if I ever change subs

db-r doesn't work on slash series amp apparently
