Right, but will you hear a difference? 100-200w? Probably not!Yeah, but the alpines are underrated so even at a lower voltage you will still get the full 1000 listed watts.
Probably around what it's rated for. Remember that JL's RIPS system is a highly regulated power supply. Which is why it's rated to make the same power from 1.5-4ohms and from 11-14.5 volts.1293 is awsome for that alpine, I wonder whats the rms on the JL 1000/1, anyoe knows?
Yup, the JL's run cooler then the PDX'sI like the JL's bass eq, it helps a LOT with tuning in the lower bass, it controls the boost and not the overall gain.
Also the JL makes rated power @ 11-14.5 volts, I think the PDX requires 14.4 to get the full 1000.
My vote is stay w/ JL its a better amp.
Yeah a regulated power supply giving same output from 11 to 14.4 volts is something the alpine is missing.Probably around what it's rated for. Remember that JL's RIPS system is a highly regulated power supply. Which is why it's rated to make the same power from 1.5-4ohms and from 11-14.5 volts.
Every birthsheet that I have seen for a PDX amp shows significantly more power than whats it rated.I'd like to see something to back this up
it has a ssf just its off 15, 30, 45 I believe I have to check though. One thing about the PDX is the lack of a SSF. May not be an issue though, depending on enclosure and HU capability.
my pdx birthsheet say 1293 lolEvery birthsheet that I have seen for a PDX amp shows significantly more power than whats it rated.
My friends 1000 showed 1170 @14.4V on the birthsheet... So, yes you will get at LEAST the 1000 rated watts.
the PDX4.100 usualy rate from 120-130 @ 14.4.
They are underrated
