Two IA 40.1 Strapped TEST RESULTS!!!!

Well I had a lil time at work today and I had the right meters (Thanks Maint dept) So anyways onto the test... Once I got my numbers I was very disappointed in the numbers I got but then I calculated for IMP RISE and made me feel a lil better.. I know I got to upgrade my electrical alot more to get the full potential out of my amps...

Amps are strapped @ 2ohms going to a pair of 12" DD 9512g's

I am running Stock 105 amp alt and a Stock Battery up front with 3 - Stinger SPV70 batteries in the rear

Starting voltage was 13.71 dropping to 10.91v during testing

129.1 V

31.34 A

4045 watts @ 4.1 ohms

So pretty much each amp is pushing 2022 watts @ 2ohms @ 10.91v

Not to bad

O and the test was done at 63HZ

That is a question that im wondering... Since Im getting a 2+ohm IMP Rise would it be safe to run a .5ohm test? Each amp would be seeing .25ohms but after IMP RISE it should be up around the safe area.... ANy feedback would be great

You will be fine for a burp, but I wouldn't try to run them that low daily.

should be fine if you don't daily drive with it that low, because its going to pull more current and voltage is going to drop lower.

well theoretically, you'd see 2668.81 watts @2 ohms @14.4 volts out of each amp

again, all theory, but just a bit all over the place.

just run one sub

strap it @1, run each amp @.5

You have to have a system in your car first to be loud.....LOL Im getting a ALT with adjustable voltage.... That should help out a lil.... I know I will be ok running at 15 volts just for a burp.... O and I didnt get that sub from by buddy but I did get something nice...

in dayton this year i ran my pr strapped at .8 before rise. i ran them in tubes so not much imp. rise.
