JL 1000/1 and JL 10 w7 are these ok together?

why get a 10w7 get a 12w7, 10w7 should be find though, just adjust ur gain.

hmm i'm not sure I just like the 10 w7....so it should be okay if the gain and everything is set properly? i just went through a big mess with the previous setup so I just wanna make sure things go smoothly this time...thanks!

If the gain is set properly the 1000/1 will be fine.

giving up on RE, well im still not convinced that you had real RE SEs to begin with. my 1 15"SE is eating 1200watts daily, and sounds amizing. i can see why a pair of SEs could eat 1200watts, unless you gains where to high or your had inferior subs(im telling to those SEs looked fake)

but if u want to hop on the band wagon "all aboard"

I doubt they are fake but i do agree maybe the gains or something was set or did wrong I wouldn't know because I don't know a whole lot about car audio. I just shipped it to someone and they say the sub is amazing and brand new minus the problem with the dustcap.

the 10w7 is a very nice sub... I enjoyed mine very much.. Beefy, drops real low, very accurate.. Just a little pricey.

what amp did you have powering it? i'm using the JL 1000/1 ...

yeah I've read/heard/seen the w7 and I know on CA.com not a lot of love for JL cuz of the price and most people say the money can be spent on other stuff etc etc... the list goes on.... haha

except ALL 08 and up RE gear has no dust caps(exceot the SR, and prior to 08 only the RE and the SR had dust caps). yours had dust caps. so you tell me why your 08 SE (and i know they look like 08s due to the RE script in stead of the logo and they say SE on the cone) had dust caps. even the old SEs has no dust cap

also i would expect a W7 to nuke as well if the gains where high. dont get JL cause your friends run them. im willing to bet more people on this forum run RE, or FI, AQ etc then JL, and we have had great sucess. JL makes great gear, but great gear can be had for less

also i had my MD3D powering a RE RE 8 today, and it didnt blow, casue i wasnt stupid with the gains.

im gonna take back what i said about your SEs, i only say one of your subs, and it looks like it has a DUST CAP on it, however looking at your other SE, where the cone is only partially ripped i can see thats its legit sorry for being a dink. seams like youve had bad luck with all of your gear, wich makes me wonder why u blew 2 subs and a amp????

as for whare are the REs assembled, wich line of REs. casue 1 or maybe 2 are offshore. the rest are built in the states.

its all good man after what you mentioned back in other threads i made I had a lot of people look at them and they checked out...yeah i had bad luck seems like and i really don't know what went wrong but yeah i'm getting rid of them and getting new gear soon so its all good...

Cuz I heard from someone that the newer SE's are assembled in China but engineered in the US ... on my box that I got them in it just says engineered in the USA but doesnt say made in the US.

the SXs say the same thing. the XXX and the MX come in a wood/sonotube box, with black carpet and says noting on it.
