Placing aeroport

I'm building my own box for a single 10" Sub and I was just wondering if there is a methodical way of placing my port: should it be in a certain area based on my box or can i just put the aeroport any where that's aesthetically pleasing? I know it has to be a certain size... Thank you

Having your port facing different ways will react with the car different. People have found they get better sound or pressure results from pointing it a certain way.

In most hatches, people like sub up, port back.

In trunks, some people find sub back port back works, or sub back port passenger side.

(SUV's go in the 'hatch' category)

But, when I rebuild my box I'm doing sub forward port through the rear deck. (I have a '98 Mustang)
